Meet the Team
Marcy Vigren, Owner
Marcy has volunteered at Hamilton County Humane Society since 2009, and has a certification in dog training. Her passion for dogs runs deep. She hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like.
Tim Hartsock
Tim has been a dog trainer since the early 1990s. He uses his “dog whispering” skills to help out local shelters, rescues and the Bark Barn. His vast knowledge and experience with canines and various animal institutions is invaluable to the function of our kennel. He genuinely loves and understands how dogs think making them love him back.
Carol Swales
Carol has been an amazing asset for Bark Barn since late 2021. Her skill and dedication to animals is unparallel as is evident with her current family members of 6 cats and 6 dogs. Outside of caring for your pups, she volunteers with Our Lil Bit of Heaven Animal Rescue, where most of her animals have benn acquired. She truly has a heart of gold.
Brook Hilbert
Brooke started with us in 2023 and is a huge asset to our operation. She has great experience with dogs at other kennels as well as with her own (pictured). She is a natural with canines and humans alike. She is a joy to be around!
Brody Smith
Brody has been with Bark Barn since December of 2025 and has proved to be a natural with dogs. There is mutual love between him and your pups. He is always happy to come in for some K9 play and snuggle time.
Taylor Hatfield
Taylor has been volunteering with us for a few years and has finally been able to become an employee. She helps us out when she’s not in school or activities and is also a natural with dogs. She has no fear.
